Signs, signs, everywhere signs
Charlotte’s getting lots of (spoken) words, and at the same time her sign vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. Some of the latest:
- eat (points at mouth)
- music (touching right elbow with left hand), including requesting “more music” (two signs in a row)
- some specific songs:
- “Toes”/points at toes (Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes)
- “Its”/puts fingers together (Itsy Bitsy Spider)
- “Row”/rocks back and forth (Row Row Row Your Boat)
- and a couple of home-grown signs
- wash hands (rubs hands together)
- brush teeth (points at mouth and makes exaggerated spitting noise, just like her big sister)
